- Native to: The Giant Woodrail is native to the tropical forests, swamps, marshes and river banks of Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina and Bolivia in South America.
- Diet:The Giant Woodrail is an omnivore (eat both plants and animals) and their diet consists of fruit, seeds, molluscs, insects and small mammals.
- Lifespan: 7-10 years.
- IUCN Status: Least Concern.
- Fun Facts: They are terrestrial, which means they live on land and they are very fast runners. This species is a large bird, can grow up to 50cm tall.and has a very loud call, that is at its loudest at first light.
