Duty Manager (Full or Part-Time)

We are looking for a confident and hands-on Duty Manager to support the day-to-day running of our visitor attraction and help ensure every guest has a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience.

This is a varied, fast-paced role where you will take responsibility for operational delivery during your shift, leading and supporting teams across guest services, admissions, retail, catering, and site operations.

You will be the key point of contact on duty, ensuring high standards across customer service, health & safety, animal experiences (where applicable), and overall site presentation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and support teams across all departments during operational hours
  • Act as Duty Manager on shift, taking responsibility for site-wide operations
  • Ensure excellent visitor experience and quick resolution of customer issues
  • Maintain health & safety standards and respond to incidents appropriately
  • Support daily opening/closing procedures and operational readiness
  • Monitor staffing levels and help coordinate team deployment
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience
  • Support effective communication across departments

About you:

  • Experience in a supervisory or management role (leisure, hospitality, or attractions preferred)
  • Calm, confident decision-maker with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise in a busy environment
  • Customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Flexible to work weekends, school holidays, and bank holidays
