What safety measures are All Things Wild implementing?

The safety of staff, visitors and animals is of paramount importance to us, and we have reviewed all of our procedures in line with government guidance, making numerous changes across the park to maximise safety.

  • Our visitor entrance has changed to an outdoor kiosk when busy, so please look out for new signage when you arrive that will point you in the direction of our new outdoor entrance.
  • There will no longer be a one-way system in place outdoors, however we will continue our one-way systems in certain indoor areas.
  • There will be no paper maps available on the day, however we have put a copy of the map for you to download prior to your visit.
  • We have plenty of hand washing facilities, including sinks in restrooms and hand wash stations, around our park. Download the map for the locations or look out for signage on your visit.
  • Our team have increased our cleaning schedule throughout the day, across our site.
  • We ask visitors to remember to wash hands and use sanitiser before and after using our toilet facilities. A member of our team will regularly check on toilet facilities across the zoo, ensuring they are clean and soap dispensers are full.
  • Whilst social distancing is no longer required by law, we will continue to encourage our visitors to keep their space between other households where possible.
  • If you are not feeling well with either one or more of the symptoms of Covid-19 – a fever, dry cough, loss of taste or smell, muscle pain, headache or difficulty breathing – please do not visit All Things Wild, stay at home and follow government and NHS 111 advice. We’ll be here once you’re symptom-free and better.

Many other changes are mentioned in the answers below, but please be advised that these may change as government guidance is updated.

Do I need to check in, via the NHS Track and Trace App?

We have our QR code for the NHS track and trace app, located at the entrance of the park that we encourage our visitors to use. It is no longer required by law, however it is advised.

Do I need to pre-book or can I just turn up on the day?

All ticket types, including Annual Members need to be pre booked and allocated a time slot. Visitors will not be able to purchase admission tickets from the entry kiosk at All Things Wild. We have restricted the number of admissions per day to ensure visitors and staff can safely social distance around the park. When booking online, visitors and All Things Wild Members will be required to choose an arrival timeslot. Timeslots are in place so that we can manage the number of people that arrive throughout the day, and to control the number of people in the park.

I need to transfer my booking, can I do this?

Tickets can be transferred for an administration fee*. Please create an account at the time of booking, which allows you to alter your own booking for a fee of £2 per ticket (maximum of £10 per booking). If an account has not been made, please email [email protected] with your reference number and we will create an account for you which will send you a link to enable your account and alter your booking. ALL transfers must be done at least 3 hours before your booking, to allow us to re-release the tickets. Tickets with discount codes/offers cannot be changed. *If your transfer is due to a positive COVID test within your household/bubble or being told to self isolate by NHS track and trace or a school, then please email [email protected] with proof of your circumstances and a date past 10 days of your original booking for us to transfer your tickets to without a charge.

I have a gift ticket or free entry ticket do I need to book?

Yes, all tickets require pre-booking in order to be allocated an entrance time slot and are included within our restricted visitor numbers. You can book your slot via the tickets page, and select ‘Day Pass Gift Voucher Redeem’ for however many people your gift voucher covers. You will be required to enter your gift voucher number or your barcode (on the free entry vouchers) upon booking, and you MUST bring in your voucher to hand in upon arrival. Free entry will not be accepted without handing in your voucher. Terms stated on your voucher, and standard entry terms and conditions apply.

Will I be able to arrive at the zoo outside of my allocated arrival time?

Allocated arrival times are in place so that we can ensure visitors are more evenly spread out around the park, to avoid any congestion and ensure maximum protection for our visitors and staff. Therefore we will ask that you stick to your allocated arrival time. If the time you wish to come is not available please look to book for another day.

Entrance will not be permitted for any visitor, including Annual Members, if they haven’t booked a time slot.

What is currently open and closed around the park?

CLOSED: Wild Fun Barn ball pit. Lemur walkthrough, Outback Walkthrough and Go-Karts..

OPEN: All other areas are open as normal. Restrictions are in place in our Jungle Mayhem Soft Play (pre booking of this is required on weekends and during school holidays)                                                                                                                                                                         

What activities will be operating on my visit?

Keep an eye out for animal talks throughout the day. The train* will be running at set times when possible. Please note: we cannot guarantee the operation of these activities on the day of your visit.   *The dino train incurs an additional fee of 50p per person (under 2’s and annual members are free) and tickets can be purchased from the ‘Bus Stop’ (on weekends and holidays) or the front desk (during weekday term time) on the day of your visit.

Is Soft Play open?

We have now opened our Jungle Mayhem Soft Play.

The pre-booking of a FREE 45min session will be required on weekends and during school holidays, as we are restricting the capacity of each time slot (these slots are dependent on availability). Soft play tickets must be pre-booked online and are only valid alongside tickets for entry to the park. Your soft play time slot must be AFTER your booked arrival time to the park. You can book these at the same time as your day tickets (by pressing ‘continue shopping’ at checkout) or if you have already purchased day tickets, you can head to the ticket page and select soft play tickets after. Please book for however many children, aged 1 and over, that will be using the soft play area. You will need to redeem your soft play tickets on entry, when you redeem your park tickets. You will then be given a slip to hand in at the entrance of Jungle Mayhem soft play.

Please note, no booking is required during weekday term time. 

If I or a member of my household have Covid-19 symptoms on the day that I have booked to visit what should I do?

It is really important that you please stay home and DO NOT visit All Things Wild. If you already have booked your online tickets, please email us on [email protected] and they will come back to you about moving your booking, subject to availability.

How long can I stay at the park?

You are welcome to stay at the zoo up until closure from the time of your allocated arrival timeslot. Please check our opening hours.

Will there be food & drinks available to purchase on site?

Hot and cold food and drinks can be purchased from our takeaway cafe (entrance is through the Jungle Mayhem play area).

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes, visitors are more than welcome to bring picnics to enjoy during their visit. We do have plenty of outdoor picnic benches and grass spaces to use as well as an indoor picnic area (located in the cafe extention area). Please be aware that due to the one-way system in place, you will only be able to exit the park to go back to your car after completing the one way route. You will be given a wristband per family on entry, so this allows for re-entry after returning to the car if needed.

How accessible are you for wheelchairs?

Our pathways vary with different substrates, such as bark and gravel and therefore, unfortunately may not suitable for wheelchair users due to the loose and uneven surfaces. We do have disabled toilet facilities on site.

Am I be required to wear a face mask?

Facemasks are now mandatory in our gift shop, excluding under 11’s and those with government approved exemptions.

Facemasks are no longer required by law in the other areas of the park, however we do advise that they are worn in the indoor or busier areas of the park.

Am I able to bring balls etc. to play with?

You are welcome to bring your own football and sandpit toys for use at our sandpits and in the Wild Meadow.

I have a question but cannot get through on the phone – what can I do?

We apologise if it takes us a little longer than usual to answer enquiries. You can find lots of information about our zoo on our website. For anything else, please email [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Do annual members get an extension due to lockdowns?

If your annual membership was valid during any of our closure periods, you will automatically receive an extension. Please keep your existing membership cards, as they will need to be presented upon arrival. We are not re-issuing new cards with your new expiry date. Please email [email protected] stating the name on your membership and the expiry date on your card, and someone will get back to you to confirm your new expiry date. Staff will be aware of your new expiry date upon arrival.

Can I purchase an annual membership?

We are commencing the sale of ‘Season Passes’ starting in January 2022, which will replace our annual membership option. This includes unlimited visits to us during our opening hours. All season passes end on the 31st December 2022. Pricing is per individual aged 3 and over.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR SEASON PASS:

  • Once your order is processed, your confirmation email will contain a reference number (this is now your season pass number).
  • Pre-booking online is still required, so please book as normal by selecting ‘season pass holder’ and providing your season pass number when prompted.
  • On your first visit, we will need to make your photo card. On subsequent visits, you will be required to show this card on arrival. 

 

Can I book a birthday party for 2021?

We are slowly getting back to normal, but unfortunately birthday parties will be one of our last activities to recommence and therefore we are not currently taking any bookings. We will post any updates as soon as we have them.

Are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on site (including being left in cars on the carpark). Registered assistance dogs are allowed by prior arrangement.
