The Ring-tailed Lemur is only native to Madagascar and is one of the most recognised lemur species due to their long black and white ringed tail.  Although found in deciduous forests, dry scrub and humid forests, they prefer gallery forests.

Omnivores by nature, they eat fruit, flowers, bark, tree sap and small insects.

Lifespan – Up to 20 years
