  • Diet: As omnivores (eat both plants and animals), they eat insects, fruit, seeds and occasionally small rodents.
  • Lifespan: 10-20 years.
  • IUCN Status: Least Concern.
  • Fun Fact: They are named after the German Explorer Baron Karl Klaus Von der Decken, who wrote a lot about the species when exploring Africa.
